Fivestar Vacuum Motor Replacement
  • Open Machine
    • Confirm that the power cord is disconnected from the wall.
    • Locate the two black caps at the front of the machine and remove them to uncover the Phillips head screw underneath.
    • Using a Phillips head screwdriver, remove the two screws and tilt the machine open.
 
  • Remove Pump Motor
    • Disconnect the pump wiring harness by pulling apart the plastic connector, being careful not to remove wires from the connectors themselves.
    • Using a Phillips head screwdriver, locate and remove the four Phillips head screws holding the pump motor in place. 
    • Disconnect or loosen the two hose clamps located on the two hoses connected to the male nylon elbows on the pump head. 
    • Remove the two hoses from the pump.
    • Pull the pump out of the machine.
 
  • Remove Vacuum Motor
    • Locate and remove the three Phillips head screws holding the vacuum motor in place.
    • Gently remove the vacuum by easing it out side to side until the gasket underneath the vacuum releases it. 
    • Once the vacuum motor is out of the machine, inspect and replace vacuum gasket if necessary.  This is a critical step for the performance and life of your machine.
